What are we supposed to be standing for, exactly? Did Russia attack us? Or is this just another symptom of the U.S. sticking it's nose in the business of others? Goddamn that Putin for messing around in Ukraine; if only he'd keep his troops home like we do!

The fact that we are actually being invaded from the south makes a poor analogy to Putin trying to exert his influence in Ukraine.

I've shown you the big picture. If you can't see it that's not my fault.

If anything the Founding Fathers, or maybe some of them, wanted free trade. Putting these embargos in place only hinders that from everybody. It wouldn't seem fair to prevent trade for one country and get angry when another country tries to do the same to us.

The founding fathers understood that trade, even free trade, must at times be regulated. Just like our borders. They to must be regulated and if necessary for the good of the country, closed.

It's been well documented that Yukonjack is bat **** crazy, there is no debating that issue. With that said, if you're a fan of cheap Russian 7.62x39 you're just as crazy if you don't load up now. The writing is on the wall, there will be an EO that blocks the import of these cheap rounds.

^^^^This. I haven't seen anyone bidding crazy prices on gunbroker yet for saiga stuff as of yet but that will change when supply dries up. I would say that the two main ammo producers in Russia will be next.

I've been shouting this from the hilltops on every gun board I've been on for some time; why it hasn't been banned yet is a miracle. There are plenty of reasons they could use, outside of any punitive actions against other nations.

Why aren't there AK variant rifles made in the US from US parts?

Because the US is great at original design, and pretty much sucks at reverse engineering? Many people want their foreign guns foreign, and their domestic guns domestic. Authenticity, and all that. Plus many US-made parts made to replace the foreign ones typically come up way short in the quality department.

We could reverse engineer the AK, but for some reason we feel the need to try and improve proven platforms.
