It almost seems like Gov. Haley is ready to execute Roof without the bother of a trial. Says he is "pure evil". Know what she didn't call him? Racist. Never even broached the subject of race. Of course what would you expect from the governor of a state that proudly flies the confederate flag in front of the state capital.

I saw on the news where the judge imposed a bail of $1 million. Just for the sake of argument, let's say Roof comes forward with the money. Would the state actually have to release him on bail? Could they put an electronic anklet on him, or put a tail on him, or would that violate his rights before he's been convicted?

You didn't get the full story. The million dollar bail is only on the weapons charge. This judge does not have the authority to set bail on capital charges. Even if he did raise sufficient cash, he would not be released due to the other charges.

Yep...the judge could have released him on his own recognizance and they still would have held him in custody because he had no authority over the murder charges(only the other charges).

Good grief. Another O'Reilly gaff.

He was interviewing Charlie Stroebel on the phone. The guy said he was talking to Dylann Roof before the shooting and he showed him the .45. Charlie asked what he was going to use it for, and Roof said it was for hunting.
O'Reilly immediately said you don't use pistols for hunting.

If You don't know wtf your talking about, keep your mouth shut. Lots of people hunt with handguns. Me included.
