"Sooners are bad people, We don't want to be associated with the name because it hurts my feelings"

My "ancestors" were slaves so I get to be all butt hurt and cry about it till some bleeding heart gives into my demands. ...

I'm muslim, change your laws and beliefs to suit me or I'll sue you......

Let's change the configuration of our money because the person on this particular bill does not suit our present idea of a good person, regardless of how long ago it was and how at that time their actions were probably atypical.

The notion that it's improper to want/try to change things just because something has been done a certain way in the past.

I agree 100%. While Donner has a point, I dont believe in change just to change. Meaningful change is the way to go.

I am tired of the victim mentality that is plaguing this country. There was a stupid article about people being offended by ageism comments "The effect of these comments is not nice. If we haven’t learned how to recognize ageism, they can erode our self-confidence without our quite knowing why - there is just a nameless sense that people perceive us as Other. Even if we are anti-ageist activists, and can name what is happening to us, the effect can be painful."

I'm with you 100% too. Just like the black actors crying about the Oscars. If you have to nominate actors because of the color of their skin, that is racism. I haven't heard of white NBA players wanting to boycott the games because there isn't enough white players on the teams. This PC crap is killing America.

I'm sick of Americans getting soft, lazy, and claiming to be victims. We (and I include myself) have had it too easy too long. Folks aren't truly struggling (think of a miner, or a farmer, or factory worker in years gone by) to live. The "safety net" has worked too well. Guns or butter - guns make us strong, butter makes us fat.

With that excess time and dime, we concern ourselves with how we've been mistreated, how someone or some group owes us something, therefore we are not spending our resources furthering our advancement. Gimme the 44oz Coke, my Hoveround and SS check, and let me tell you what a racist, sexist, ageist, fatphobic, homophobic country this is. While the barely-English speaking Indian immigrant earns his Masters while working 50 hours a week... give me a break, victims.
