I figured as much. I did some work on a car based reality show once. I expected the staging, but what I didn't expect is the complete staging of the timelines. Things that were shown to have happen very sequentially and a long way apart were sometimes either totally backwards or in parallel.
I got a kick out of watching the people in the show pretending to meet for the "first time" on the 5th or 6th take.
I enjoy the free-spirited-ness of Sean (Farmtruck), although I could totally do without Azn. But I think the "fishing" thing has run it's course. Nobody who follows racing seriously is going to ACTUALLY race that truck unless they know they can beat it. Mostly I figure it's fans and people who are willing to be beaten a little and get an opportunity to be on the show.

Yeah, while watching the show, I've recognized their "fishing grounds" a few times. One was just a few blocks from where my wife (but then girlfriend) lived in our younger years.
I thought I wanted a piece of the farm truck years ago, I have a friend that is buddies with him.I have been invited by him to go .
Never happened ..Probably good thing as my car then would flat hook on the street with No prep but only in the low 11's.
I raced Vmaxes and 929rr and 1100xx black birds and other bikes and blew them away in my old nova.
You might think you hook better you may just beat the other guy.
heck my wife raced me in a Ford escort in the rain and she beat me by 1/8 mile in the 1/4.
I just could not get that torque to stick on wet ground.
Those fast guys probably have that problem on dry pavement that is not prepped.

Gas went to $4 bucks and I detuned all my stuff and went for the MPG tune.
I will just say look for farmtruck and keyboard warriors video.
