Here's my method for cleaning. I start skinning just like any other time. Up the middle don't pop the gut. Skin one side all the way to the back. Then I take the quarters and that loin. Roll carcass over and repeat. Very little blood and no messing with the guts. Since ODWC started the online...
Eat wild pork all the time. Excellent table fare if processed properly in the field. I don't gut the Pig simply take the four quarters and the back straps. Get them on ice quickly. Cook the hams and loin anyway you want. The way I've enjoyed the shoulders is to smoke them whole then chunk up the...
Alternator amperage isn't an indicator of a problem with the alternator. What was the voltage? Erratic amperage is an indicator of something else going on. Could be that the batteries were completely drained then the alternator would have higher amperage then drop as the batteries charge. My...
JesseR. Thanks for keeping us informed. Great trouble shooting technique in switching those relays. I'll put that in my tool box of knowledge for later. Glad to hear you found the culprit.

One trick if you don't have a vacuum sealer is to first wrap your meat in Saran Wrap. Wrap it several times and make sure you get out all the air. Then wrap in butcher paper. If you get the air out should last at least a year. Works good but the vacuum sealer is more consistent and faster.

I use Dales all the time on my deer and love it. But it's fried squirrel for me. I like it smothered in gravy also but fried is still my favorite. Can't wait till the 15th.
So I posted earlier trying to find out about possible hunting clubs in Oklahoma. Also after searching the post and reading everything I could find I decided to consolidate what I found out in case others want to know the options. Completing a Google search you find multiple Hunting Clubs...
Ahh Springtime so many choices to make. Go fishing or go squirrel hunting. I'll be out squirrel hunting at least for one morning. I love fresh fried squirrel. Grew up on it as a kid and still think it's the best meat of all.
My sis works at the FAA and from what I can tell the furloughs were a total sham created by BHO to make the republicans look bad. He wanted the sequester to hurt as bad as it could. Seems not to be working very well for him.
