For most people the 1911 isn’t the best choice, but IF you know what you’re doing and have realistic goals, they shoot fast, flat, accurately and conceal well.

I'm gonna say this is reasonable. One wonders with the cheap seat rhetoric flying, how guys like Eric Fuson down at 2A ran 80K through his Wilson in a couple of years. Considering they apparently never make it through competitions.....

If you're gonna' carry, look up Raven Concealment Phantom holsters.
You can have it completely custom from the angle, to color, shield, type of belt loop, etc. for only $100.
Now they do have plain jane ones ready to ship out for like $60?
IMHO, I really like them a lot. I'm soon to get one for my Glock 20.

I have a Para Expert 1911 and had several in the past. The Para Expert is not the top of the line 1911 but it sure is a quality piece. You really might look at a Taurus as well.. Very tight tolerances and very accurate.
