Should be rotors and pads on back also. 200-300 bucks depending on what parts she wants and someone close that can help her out she’s good to go. Couple hour job!
What an eye opener tksThis Rock Auto pricing is based on the 2.5L Escape. There are 2 additional turbo models that may have different parts.
Front and rear Bosch ceramic pads and front replacement rotors (which may not be needed, but good insurance).

Absolutely could do if rotors are fine. I just do them because they have gotten so cheapI know that there are some who would disagree with me but a car with 195,000 miles? I'd just put new pads on it unless it had shimmering when the brakes were applied. Or, discs were worn out.
The car did not have 195000 miles It has 95000 , Big differenceI know that there are some who would disagree with me but a car with 195,000 miles? I'd just put new pads on it unless it had shimmering when the brakes were applied. Or, discs were worn out.
The 2 estimates that she got that were so high was Same Day Auto on 61st in Tulsa 1100+$. The other one was Robertson Tires in Claremore 990$
I've replaced two calipers on vehicles that I've/we've owned, ever. That's a couple dozen vehicles, probably between million and million and a half miles total.https://www.autozone.com/diy/brakes/brake-replacement-cost
“A complete brake repair — one that includes pads, rotor and caliper replacement — typically averages between $300 and $800. However, depending on the make and model of your vehicle, you can easily spend more than $1,000 on a complete brake job.”
