i worked a GB concert in '89 (before he made it big) and he was all dilated and glassy eyed then also
he's had too much exposure as a 'showman' and that's caused his head to balloon into him thinking he's got musical talent
he had and attitude the night of the show i worked, as we escorted him to/from the stage he made the comment "you guys ought to be playing ME to work this show"
never cared for him after that, some of his songs are good, but i've never seen another of his shows since

Yeah! He's a real loser, ain't he? He's got more talent in his little finger than most of the current set of millionaire wannabees even wish they had.

He used to be a great singer with a good voice and I've heard that he used to put on one helluva show. "Used to be" is the key phrase here. I've never seen him in concert, but I did hear him sing not too long ago and I was far less than impressed. It reminds me of Axl Rose, Robert Plant and James Hetfield. People should bow out closer to the top of their game so we can retain a few fond memories of them.

he worked hard, and has always came off humble . in public, say at a daughters ballgame, he seemed like a regular guy. talk to people that aproached him, sign autographs but he would ask folks to respect when the game started to back off.

never understood the trish thang though?!?

like the song says we were all good once . lol

I thought the Vegas TV show thing was OK, but perhaps a little contrived/scripted. I saw him this summer at the Twister Relief Concert that Toby Keith put on and Garth stole the show. He was totally genuine in his limited banter and sounded better than ever. Trisha sounded great as well at the show.

I've never met him or Trisha myself but I know a LOT of people that have and none of them have anything but good things to say about him as a person.

I watched his show. Been nice to see it without the commercials. Cause I reckon we missed some good stuff. But, we did not have to put down 500 a ticket. It is Vegas ya know.
Mr. Brooks freely admits his early influence/idol was Chris Ledoux. Mr. Ledoux performances used to to be controlled pandemonium. One of the best Cowboy singers ever. He would get wild and wild eyed. Watch some of his videos. If you want, of course. I don't begrudge a person that found his niche. And did very well with it. After all this is America. Most of his audience seemed to be having a good time. So did I. Regards
