Coach guns...

[Glock 'em down]

Are there any AMERICAN made double barrel side by side scatterguns out there? I've got a hankerin' for a good coach gun, with a purdy wooden stock, short barrelled (18/20 inches) glossy blue finish and exposed double hammers.

I see lots of Chinese made shotguns out there for $200 (+/-) but none made here in USA.

Anybody?

Others make them as well - but not American made. CZ, Cimarron, etc.

There was an LC Smith at the big show a few months back...but it weren't no coach gun. 10g, 30".

I think you're best off looking for a semi-collectible LC if you want an American. Check with Yojinbo on that...he's in the know.

You can also look for a 311 Stevens. It won't have the external hammers, and you'll probably have to have the barrels shortened. They will be your least expensive SXS that was made in America.

Yes it is. I bought one before I researched it much but I got it for $275 so I think it turned out ok.

Well, I would rather have a Brazillian than a Chinese, but Stoeger doesn't have exposed hammers.
