I remember when running a profitable business while paying a fair wage as admirable. Now it seems that people want more wages for fewer skills and businesses are evil bastards for paying fair wages.

There are two major problems with the economy that need to be addressed. Wal Mart and illegals. Wal Mart has killed manufacturing and the illegals have killed unskilled labor wages.

Your close to right, Giant Corporations who import goods for resale are the root cause of our economic problems.

Small businesses and small manufactoring companies can only stay in business if they are frugal or fill a small market niche. These guys are not the problem.

Typical liberal rhetoric, raising taxes will solve all. Our economy would improve if people quit relying on the taxpayer and take the initiative to work hard and pay their own way. Get an education in a field with demand or learn a trade.

Liberals look at the public in general as helpless and can't make it on their own. By doing this you will always have dependencies.

Get an education? Really. What do think happens when everyone gets educated and the only jobs available are part time work or theres no jobs in the feild. Everyone cant be Cheifs.

Workers need to have a place to work. We cant be a Nation that only consumes goods. We need to be able to purchase goods, that means real jobs that pay meaningfull wages.

Real jobs and meaningfull wages means we must have a balance of manufactoring jobs and businesses that sell goods manufactored here in the US.

BTW, your work hard, get educated rhetoric was good advice 25 years ago. People worked hard and got educated BUT THE JOBS LEFT. Its time to bring the jobs back or force companies to pay more to make up the difference.
