i haven't been to a gun show in okc in 10 years because you have several promoters that continually try to rat dick the other promoters , EVERY year it seems one will schedule 3~5 shows over the year and then the others make every effort to snipe them by schedule their's the week before, nobody, including the promoters wins

it seems that are plenty happy to live on each other's scraps rather than working together to promote GOOD shows with minimal swap meet crap

Y'all don't forget the $12.00 Grand National (Diener) show coming up in Tulsa next weekend! Advertises 2200 tables....more like 500...keeps shrinking every year...wonder why?

See you there....not!!!

Last show I went to here in the city literally had 17 vendors and cost 14 bucks to get in. And there wasn't a single deal in the place, and 7 of those tables didn't even sell guns. I remember at the height of the scare a while back the gun show was huge and there were still deals to be had, in spite of the price gouging. After this last show, I will just stick with the few LGS that I patronize, and the Internet.

You know what will make a promoter a little extra money?
Set up a wifi server to handle posts from customers. Attendees could post which gun they're looking for, and for an extra $5 to the table fee, a dealer can log in and see if anybody wants something he has. If you post that you're looking for a Double-Eagle 10mm, and Greg's Guns has one, they could text you their table location. Maybe someone could work with Armslist to put it together.

The promoters and the dealers are both to blame in this. I go to the shows on a fairly regular basis just to see what's new and what's old. I enjoy seeing something I don't have. Neither dealers or promoters have any business sense. The dealers are the worse though. Why pay more than retail for a used item, especially from a dealer that looks (and smells) like something from "Deliverance". The promoters remind me of the Muskogee newspaper. Readership dropped, so they raised the daily price from 50 cents to 75 cents, and couldn't figure out why they were losing money.

If the Moms for Anarchy, or what ever that group is called, will just be patient, the gunshow loophole will fade in history.

I've brought this up before: I've been to gun shows in 4 other states and I've never seen the prices exceed $10 (and that was in the anti-gun extremely high cost of living insanity that is California, all the other shows were $5 and in states where life is more expensive than OK). I just don't get it...it's OK....get over it. I went to one show in OK when I first moved here and my jaw almost hit the ground when they told me $14 at the door. Went to one other show that was $5 that was a decent show that I'd go to again. But on principal alone, I can afford $14 but I won't pay it to go to a mediocre OKC gun show. $5 will get my attendance. Anything more won't and leaves me scratching my head as to who has such a full of themselves attitude to offer up such shenanigans. Although after experiencing house shopping in this city maybe it's a cultural thing?

Is this in a Casino somewhere? Need a more specific location please. If it is, what happened to the "no guns on Indian land" issue?
