Did something happen to improve NICS background checks for delays?

For the last several years, I would get delayed and then they would not ever call back. I would pick up my gun after 3 days but the check would expire without a call back after the 30 days.

This means if a retailer required a proceed, i.e Cabela's, Walmart, CMP, etc... I basically could not buy a gun there.

But in the last month I've bought 3 guns and I got a proceed in 2 days for the first two and in 3 hours in the one yesterday.

Wonder what changed?

That is a long time for a transaction, you must have a similar name or something to someone who has been in trouble at some point. Mine clear in a scant few minutes like less than 10 minutes

Been delayed for over 30 years now. Every transaction and I do not have a common name.
I've related on here before about why I think that happens, but I also have recently experienced quicker delays.
As was earlier stated, if delayed at one of the big box sporting goods stores, the store would deny the sale.
6 months ago, spotted a FN-502 in Cabella's that couldn't be passed up.
Delayed once again, but the counter guy told me to wait around for a bit.
About 10 minutes later he found me in the fishing section and said approved!
A month or so later won a Browning Maxus II in 3 1/2" 12 ga at a DU Banquet. Delayed again, but 30 minutes later, BOOM! Didn't have to take the walk of shame out the door to pick it up later.
BUT! My can for the 502 is still in NFA jail since Dec 12. I hear some are being approved in two days now. Not me.
