Apparently, someone (maybe an employee-maybe a customer), saw him take his pistol out of the holster and put it in the glove compartment.
It was the post-master of that office who called the cops.
It's tragic as far as I'm concerned,,,
He will (has already) lost his life savings,,,
Now he's just trying to avoid a long prison sentence.
Like I said,,,
I park across the street.

Empty holster, gun at home. Let them search your vehicle enough times until they give up. You can always tell them the empty holster's a silent protest against their policy of requiring children to remain unprotected.
Does anyone else see a potential business opportunity here? Racks of small coin-op lockers at convenience stores or something similar? Has it already been done?
Correct me if I am wrong, but didnt the bill get passed that now your vehicle is fine on ALL property?

I know that the law is the law but I can't imagine prison for mistakenly parking with a handgun in your vehicle. Especially for a licensed holder. Big fine? Maybe. Prison?
But I would not risk going into the lot if there were a gun in the car.
but my 47 second trip into the Post Office box area is not something I am concerned about.
