I found some yellow ones look to be about 1/2" thick and 8" wide 7 or 8 foot long.
I had an old grader blade I cut up into smaller pieces and hung at 100 yards and you can't put a dink in it.

I wonder if these newer looking ones are as tough when shooting at them.
I could not purchase any of them today as I was driving my 57 chevy and it can't haul long steel.
But my Corolla can.
Anyone want a piece of one of these to shoot at and test.
Yes they have a curve in the blade and tapered thin at both ends i think.

Heck of a ring to them when I tapped on them.

wonder if different sizes would play different notes when you plink them.

I will go get buy 3 of those long blades tomorrow.
I have cut the old one I had with a cut off wheel and with a torch.
No issues either way.

Of course they have a square hole in them where they mount. I cut most 5-10" long and hung them with welding rod bent into a hook shape.

This allows them to move very easy and the bullets do not come back at you.
Light weight ya know.
Many times when hit with say 30-06 they bend the welding rod and fall to the ground a couple feet behind where I hung them.

I need to make a permanent hanging platform with the steel at an angle .
I have shot them with pistols at close range and it swings them.
No ricochet.

Our Range used the grader blades to hold up 8 oz plastic cups filled with water on sawhorses for a family shooting match. The kids like to see reactive targets blow up with the .22's.
Easy reset with new cups and gallon jugs of water.
The beveled edge was always turned down so if a round hit the edge, the bullet would be directed down. It's a great quality steel that can be used for a lot of projects.
