MIDWEST CITY, Okla. -- Police said are at the scene of a fatal shooting in Midwest City.
It happened shortly after 8 a.m. near Northeast 14th Street and Marydale Avenue.
Police said a homeowner shot two people who were breaking into his home.
One of the home invasion suspects is dead and the other is injured, police said.

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma – A Midwest City woman has shot and killed a robbery suspect after finding him standing in her living room while she was home alone with her young children.
Midwest City Police Chief Clabes said the 30-year-old mother was at home, 9313 N.E. 14th Street, with her two small children when she heard a loud noise. She thought it was earthquake and walked into her living room to see two men standing in the room. She shot both would-be burglars, killing one of them.
She and her two children are fine.
The other attempted robber is in fair condition at an area hospital.
No names have been released.
