Well, we returned last night from St. Thomas where we endured the wettest vacation ever. Absolutely sucked! The storm dropped rain all over most of our vacation and smacked the island with power outages etc. We were at the Ritz and for the record, it was not nearly what you would have expected from the Ritz. Food was terrible and they were not very accommodating. Good service, beach and pool though. 
It started to rain on the second day and each day thereafter was wet. UGH! It was us with our 6 year old and my wife's cousin, her husband and 5 year old. 
Power outages and satellite trouble even kept the TV blinking off too often to watch movies etc.
However, I must say that the wind was nothing compared to even a decent sized thunderstorm that comes though Oklahoma all the time. I thought it would have been more impressive.
