Just saw "The Mist" - apparently it was a screen test for The Walking Dead

I just watched the last half-hour of the 2007 remake of Stephen King's The Mist As I watched it noticed half of main the actors would come together again as stars of the TV series The Walking Dead.
It was interesting to see Andrea (Laurie Holden), Dale (Jeffrey DeMunn), and Carol (Melissa McBride) in different sci-fi roles and working with Frank Darabont - the original director and executive producer of TWD. Don't know why I didn't notice that when I first saw TWD 4 years ago.

The Mist is a messed up movie, and in SK fashion, makes me hate the ending. Brutal.

Interesting, I watched it back pretty close to after it was released, also now watch the walking dead and didn't make the connection, will have to go back and watch The Mist again.

If the mist is the movie I'm thinking of I thought it was terrible mainly the end.

It was done twice and both were fairly bad - IMHO. But then again, I didn't think the story was one of Stephen King's better efforts.
