Depends on what current shop rate is. I would guess it's in the $80-100 per hour plus parts. The 6.5 hours I said earlier was from AllData so that's going to be close.

I own a repair shop, did a heater core for a customer not long ago on a 2000 i believe the same body style. Total was about 500. I believe we had to drain the a/c refrigerant too. .
I believe OP said oderless. Antifreeze has a distinct almost sweet smell to it .so far its only an assumption that the heater core is bad.

Usually you only get that smoke during the summer when running the AC when the dew point conditions are so close to the temperature as it is cooling.

If it isn't sweet, than not sure if heater core. As for the film on the windshield, my car even gets that (2013), and my cars in the past have all had the tough coating that requires some elbow if not on top of keeping it clean.

some newer EL Coolant does not have a sweet smell to it.....
