I would be very careful running HIDs in non HID housings. From what i have read, It is illegal to do this. It is because the light pattern is not conducive to brighter bulbs and could blind oncoming traffic. And with these lights being on a big rig, you are more likely to get pulled over than a passenger vehicle for an inspection of your lights.

If you run HIDs you need to find e-code housings, as stated above, the light is focused on the road and and not in the eyes of oncoming traffic.

Thanks guys, I am not gonna upgrade to the HID's just yet. From what I have read they do not produce enough heat to melt the snow/ice off of the headlights when running in bad weather. I will check out the silverstars.
