1200 light years is only 7,054,350,000 miles away, if we can get a fusion or atom smashing drive to work in the next 20 years we could theoretically travel up to HALF the speed of light per Julian calendar, so it could POTENTIALLY only be a 600 year trip....We need an ENTERPRISE class ship to do this gentlemen, who's gonna throw in the first $50 billion, only $950 to go! Oh, 1/8th of the worlds remaining natural resources to construct it, including mining from the moon.

You will be required too!

I thought everyone knew the OSA spaceship will be propelled by firing bullets in the direction we want to leave.
Suppressing fire and propulsion!

The Hubble Ultra Deep Field image looks back 13 billion years into a tiny bit of a relatively dark spot of the universe. The bits of light in the image aren't stars. They are whole galaxies. That's where I'll be in the next decade or two. Come visit. :)

Half the speed of light? Might want to check that trip time...
