Public Land Bucks

I know a lot of the hunters here started on public land. usually the only option for beginning hunters. i hunted public land for a few years but never connected. mainly because i didn't put my time in the field. how about some public land pics to get the guys hunting those areas pumped up

Well my biggest buck ever was off of public land from 2 years ago - it went 132 4/8ths after deductions. Large symmetrical typical 8. Nose to the ground, trailing a doe, about 2 minutes after legal shooting time in the AM - quite dark still. Thank goodness for the rut!

3 of the 4 we earned. The second one of mine up there, I was napping in the driver seat of my truck and opened my eyes long enough to catch him sneaking across the sand hills. A chase ensued, and a 250 yard shot at a running deer was the end of that.
