Glock factory mags have had steel inserts since Gen 2. The polymer mag catch and the polymer mag work happily together; seldom wear out or break.
Did anyone not know that? In anycase Gaston was the one that mandated the plastic mags and others in the company wanted to change that. Not a fan of glock fat grips due to rediculous plastic magazines. Would have rather had steel magazines. I own several G19s And Id still prefer a slimmer grip
