From my days working and hanging around in the WKY studios,,,
Danny Williams was one of the hardest working people I have ever witnessed.

He married into the Gaylord family and they worked him like a dog.

I forget the name of his characters,,,
But he was Foreman Scotty's sidekick on the Circle-4 Ranch,,,
The Dracula-like host of WKY's Saturday night creature feature movie,,,
As well as being the go-to Go-Fer at the studio and a regular DJ on the radio station,

I also remember him as being a really nice guy,,,
Who like Ronnie Kay had a witch for a wife.

Aarond

P.S. Even though I did work (unpaid) for WKY after High School,,,
I always listened to KOMA in my car

I listen to KOMA every morning. They have a thing called $1,000 Minute Impossible. As much as I enjoy it, I may boycott the station. I mean...who in the hell fires an 84 year old icon? :pissed:

Who are the sponsors of the $1000 Minute Impossible?
Notify the sponsors of boycotting them if they don't pull advertising from KOMA.
More effective, remind them of Budweiser.

Danny hosted Friday night wrestling too. “And watch out for flying chairs” was a sign off he used after getting hit with a chair.

I was on Foreman Scottie's show way back in the day. I actually got 5 seconds of air time when he would
talk to the kids. After the show we were asking him about his gun. It was a nickel plated something I think.
He took it out and said these are blanks but they still pack a punch and can be dangerous. Then he proceeded to shoot a tin can in his left hand at point blank range. It dented it pretty good.
Just imagine if that were to occur these days. The horror.

Foreman Scotty carried a Colt SAA in .44 Special,,,
It wasn't just a prop and he personally owned the gun.

Now having said that,,,
I'm dealing from a memory that's 61 years old,,,
But when I was a kid in Circle-4 gallery I asked him if it was a Colt-45.

He said it was a .44 Special,,,
In his "adventure serials" he always had one armor piercing bullet in his belt.

Dang but I get all nostalgic sometimes,,,
When I was a kid and an oldster told me stories about his past I was rapt with attention.

Nowadays if I try and tell a teen kid about something from my youth,,,
I just get a blank stare of complete disinterest.

Will these kids be nostalgic about,,,
An old smart phone?
