Rural Oklahoma: How far do you drive for groceries?

Betcha a dollar that they'll be putting in a "family dollar" soon, if they haven't already. They seem to be doing that in a lot of small towns. Kansas, Oklahoma (10 or so miles from here) they done that. I have heard that they are competing brothers, dollar general and family dollar.

Maybe.
The Osage tribe just finished up putting a casino/hotel/quick trip/gas station a half mile east of the dollar general. I'm not a gambler, but the real gas is cheaper than the station down the road.
