Interesting read, though I suspect many here would call Goldwater a RINO based on that list. (Which is a term I find to be almost without meaning, btw)

He was for personal freedome on many levels. Mix of Libertarian and Conservative.

I've been aware of her and her shenanigans long before this thread. I'm not bagging on her because of her party. She's getting the hate because she's another elitist with progressive/socialist intentions (and a proven liar as well).

Newsflash: We do live in a socialist society. A country can not operate without social programs.

The is a difference between the programs you mention and a full on socialist government. Some social programs like those you mention are good for society as a whole but real socialism is a drag on it.

Social programs do not equal wholesale Socialism.

In addition to lying about her Native American status in order to gain attention/prominence, here are a few of the things Warren supports, and has actively worked towards:

Restrictions on the Second Amendment
Increased minimum wage
Unionization of all labor
Renewal of the Assault Weapons Ban
10 round magazine limits
Invitation to illegal immigration
The Affordable Care Act a.k.a. Obamacare
Publicly funded abortions
Supports the $1 trillion we hand out every year in social welfare, but claims we need to "balance our budget"
Tax increases

I am willing to give it a go without any social programs. I don't think things are "functioning" particularly well now. In fact, it seems things "function" worse and worse the more people systematically initiate force against those who haven't started it's use... assuming by "function" you mean being able to live the life that is proper to beings that rely on their creative and productive ability to sustain and enjoy their lives.
