Me either but what does it say about our society. Been watching old John Wayne movies, I liked it when the good guy always won and you didn't need to see blood to get the point.

Probably the same thing it said when Elvis started shaking his hips, the first bikini's were allowed in public, porn was discovered on the internet (approximatley 3 seconds after the internet was made public), Chocolate syrup was used as blood in the shower scene of the move Psycho and reporters started providing footage of what real war looked like, in living color, during Vietnam.

Simple: shock value sells. What was shocking in GTA, is no longer shocking. Remember the uproar that game conjured when it came out? Now, people don't even bat an eye.

Wouldn't this apply to something like youtube then? Since youtube has all of the videos out there with journalists getting their heads cut off and terrorist attacks and carnage, shouldn't youtube get held under the same scrutiny? It isn't. Lots of people that are complaining about a video game are the same ones that eagerly go to youtube to view all the carnage. Does freedom of speech and such only apply if it doesn't offend me? It's simple as others have stated, if you don't like it...don't purchase it. I don't believe in the video games and OZZY music are creating desensitized serial killers and sadists. It takes a lot more than that to derail someone from what is considered normal appropriate behavior to a crazed killer. It takes parents not being involved in their kids lives, poor character and values getting taught to the children and extended periods of neglect. Playing a video game isn't going to make kids go on a shooting spree, it's just what the media and simple minded people use as a crutch to explain their shortcomings as human beings.

Looks like any zombie game, but the zombies were replaced with the living. Of course they are running from you instead of at you.

It won't be released on Nintendo systems like my kid's Wii-U which is one of the reasons he has it instead of a PS4

I've played video games since they were in existence, and my Son and his buds went through most of the FPS games dragging me along to lan parties and other game gatherings. I still play some of the current FPS games like the battlefield series and am very repulsed by this one. We at least emulate the good guys as often as possible in the war games. My son is now 39 and still plays them. none of our group has ever had the urge to go "Postal" in reality that I know of.

I grew up with video games too starting with the Atari systems and buying every machine that has come out since for myself and now my kids over the years. My ex was crazy into LAN tournaments and stuff. I also grew up looking up to Bruce Lee, Ali, Tyson, etc and boxed myself as well as martial arts, I still have a tendacy to think of using my fists or a knife before a gun in a self defense situation, but not my kids generation. He has been in martial arts since a lil kid and now is into boxing and is as crazy about it as I am but I gaurentee he would grab a gun first to take out to a fight just because thats all his generation knows to do. I dont fault them for it, I just notice the generational shift to a different mindset when it comes to self defense.

Sociopaths , need no help , its the nature of the Disease .....They Dont Care

That's true, but some of them aren't all that creative.

Oh, and I made it through the night without the nightmares. I guess watching "Donavan's Reef" before I went to sleep preempted the trash! :preocc:

I have to agree with u NoFear. Games turned from sick and twisted fantasy into realistic content and I.m.h.o., I think that these games desensitize kids to violence and real world situations to an extent.
