I have been building an ar15 and now all I have left is a stock. I am torn between the A2/A1 stock and a CTR (it is hard to find one right now). I have a Stag lower and from what I can tell need to go mil spec stock kit. I have a Spikes upper with an 18" barrel and rifle length Knights RAS rail. I want it to look awesome, but be very comfortable. I would like to keep it under $150 if possible. I also have Essential Arms lower that I am going to build up in the future and make into a 24" rifle and use an A1/A2 stock, but I don't know if the stock needs to be mil spec or commercial. Does anyone have any suggestions/ ideas?
Go collapsible on the 18" (MOE/CTR) since your 24" is going to have a fixed.
