Im pizzed so forgive me, or dont.

I went out for a smoke on my back porch. I heard a car turn into my driveway, my 3 dogs barked and I hear a woman say "stay" and a door close. I rounded the house just in time to see a silver sport util leave the driveway and my dogs chasing a small brown terrier mix.

This friggin AZZHOLE, LADY just dumped her dog in my driveway on XMAS FRIGGIN EVE RIGHT BEFORE A BIG STORM!!!!

SO, im blinded with rage, grabbed my keys, daughter grabbed the lil dog and i took off. I live on a dirt road, lotsa dust. I caught up to dust, seen where she turned east on highway 9.

I caught up with her about at Tbird Casino, i was way speeding and passed one other car before getting behind her. I got in front of her and slowed down.

I made her and some other traffic stop around the dam at Tbird. I grabbed the dog, took it to her car, she had the window down and telling me how sorry she was.

I shoved the dog thru her window, called her several names and told her how sorry she was. Told her if i see her again i was. Nevrmind

god im pissed. Maybe not the smartest thing ive done but its done.

No need to be pissed you took care of it. We need more of that in this world. People either taking responsibility or being forced to take responsibility for their actions. Kudos.

Get a tag number and let the police force her "and some other traffic" to stop.
What if some one in one of the other vehicles had misread what was happening?
It sounds like a potential George Zimmerman situation.

Maybe you made her feel some shame. Sad thing is she'll just find another driveway.

I was at my parent's shooting my bow in their front yard a few years ago when someone dumped a litter of puppies (barely weaned) at the stop sign a few hundred yards up the road. I set out after them but was too late. That was for the best, because I was more than ready to physically stop and confront whomever was in the vehicle - man, woman, cripple - it didn't matter at that point - would have gladly taken an asswhopping or a ride in county bracelets just to give them a piece of my mind and/or whatever blunt instrument I had handy in the truck. Pieces of human sh*t. One thing I won't miss about living in the country is animal dumpers (and to a lesser extent, trash dumpers).

Sadly nothing will happen from doing this, and that's not a dig at police. Not much they could do if they wanted to other than harass her.
I understand that. The only reason I responded at all is that this is EXACTLY the kind of dumbass thing I would have done fifteen years ago had I been in Lurker's position. If she had dumped a child (rather than a dog) it would have been understandable to do whatever was neccessary.
Making a traffic stop that involves other vehicles in traffic, well, that's for the cops.
