i just looked at mine and the trigger and safety are metal. i do remember that the safety was plastic on the first one i had. it was a fantastic shooter. the one i have now is good but not as good as the last one.

my pin comes out very easily.

My pin is hard to remove also....I just rotate and jiggle the cylinder and it comes out eventually

I took a small piece of sand paper to the extractor hole on mine and removed what looked to be excess paint and it works like a champ now.

Put the word out the next time they are own sale, enjoy your new pistol, i have over 2500 rnds through mine and works slicker the more i shoot it.

If I still had all the boys to teach again... I'd probably drop a few bucks into a Rough Rider.... we about wore out an old German Hawes 22 SA and a Single Six. The cheap pistols kept a lot of miles off my SW 17 and 18.

I have had one for a couple of years and never had a problem getting the cyl or rod out, All metal parts no plastic.
