I have an idea, what do you guys think of maybe all of the 1911 owners getting together about once a month and bring all your 1911's and shooting them and each others? I talked to Dr. Barry yesterday BTW "What a great guy, Thanks Mike" and a few others and they seem up for it. We could bring our 1911's and have a get together and try each others out. Don't have all my ducks in a row, but with you guy's help we could put our heads together and fine tune it. Feel free with any and all input and please post pictures of your 1911's, I will post mine later tonight.

Would love to, but OKC is a bit far of a monthly drive for me. That and I don't have a 1911 at the moment.

We could change locations every month or so to be able to include everyone. Like I said just a ruff draft to see what kind of interest.

Maybe locals could do it every month, then every other month, or quarterly, do a OKC/Tulsa meet, and switch locations each time. I'd love to regularly get together with other shooters (specifically 1911 people!) just for the fun of visiting and shooting. Not that competition is bad at all, but you just can't get as much BS in!

I think the idea is to get the pistols adjusted so you don't have to worry about malfunctions, but 1911 guys aren't snobbish and I'm sure you would be welcome...even with the tupperware...

where ever i go so goes my 1911's i've had them at all fgst meetings and all you need to do is ask to shot them...... but i would be up for a meet of us owners of these guns, i started as a big fan of revolvers and have slowly growen to include 1911's now................

Haha I know you guys aren't just tryin to stir the pot up a little bit, get kinda bored and need a little entertainment. Believe it or not I haven't even shot a 1911 before I think you guys have a good plan though, it's always fun when everybody is into the same type of gun and you can shoot each others and all that good stuff.
