POACHERS!!!! What do you think should be legal!!!

My FIL had a neighbor have a 12pt he had been watching POACHED on his land from the ROAD. He was in his stand waiting for the buck to clear when the scumbags took their shot. He could see the movement of the truck through the trees but could not really make out much else. By the time he got out of his stand and to the road they had aready drug the deer out and took off down the road. If it were me he should has sent some rapid fire rounds their way.
My FIL had one poached off his land also. All he saw way the blood trail where they drug it down the road and under his LOCKED gate.
Should be legal to poach and disopose of creeps like this when they go onto other peoples land uninvited!!!!

While I can understand your anger about poachers, someone poaching a deer on your land certainly isn't worth going to prison for.

Sorry if I was out of line. It just seems the laws of someone breaking into your house (armed or not) should carry over to your land. It is mentioned on here all the time that the law allows us to defend our homes with deadly force. Seems like it would be equal or even a greater offence in the eyes of the law if a person knowingly entered someones property armed with a high powered hunting rifle.

I was just wanting to here what some of the hunters and land owners here thought.
