Any of you cocked & locked guys carry ball ammo?

No. CorBon or Winchester hollow points only for Self defense. Use the FMJ for practice.

Nope - Winchester PDX1 here. I figure if I need to shoot, I want something that's defensible in court (civ version of FBI duty round), and effective on the street.

I'll grant that ball apparently has a good record on the battlefield, but then again, they're not allowed to carry hollowpoints in combat, so there's nothing to compare ball to.

I will carry it in my Glock 36. I prefer 200 grain SWC. Hard to find in a jacketed bullet factory ammo.

I still have four and a half 50rd boxes of 230gr Winchester Black Talons. I feed it to my S&W 4566.

Ive carried 230 ball occasionally, only in this caliber, nothing smaller.

I know how to shoot, though. shot placement by far is more important than ammo.
