The photo shown above and in the article evidently was taken back in September during a rainstorm and not today.

Nevertheless, it is representative of the dedication and honor that these soldiers show on a daily basis.

Back during Hurricane Irene in 2011, even though the soldiers have a shelter available, they routinely refused to use it.

Yeah, I'd like to visit DC one of these days to see this and our other national monuments.

You should really do it Dennis.
I was fortunate to have taken my USMC school in Quantico and we rode the Amtrack up to DC pretty often.
So many amazing things to see.
