Those are some nice photographs you guys. Does pretty much everyone use digital cameras now or are there still folks using film?

I just picked up a 5D with 24-105L and a 70-300 2.4 L glass. I LOVE it.

I have not used film in years. I learned on film, I still have my dad's Nikormat, it works like new. Hell, it looks like new. I learned on that one. My 11 year old has been shooting my old Canon DLSR since he was 5. He is quite talented too. Here is one of my favorites that he took. He has shot full manual from day one, I won't let him use auto. Awesome thread...I haven't taken a shot (camera) worth anything in several years, just quick digital snapshots. I used to shoot A.LOT. And by this, I mean A.WHOLE.LOT! Film, Minolta and Nikon 35mm mostly. Seeing these really makes me want to do it some more! From about 1977 until 1991, I never went anywhere without at least one with me at all times. Working during the day and shooting at night. Take your own color and light if you have to!

There are still a few that use film, and while I can't think of their name (username), there is one person here on OSA that I remember saying he still did film. Back in the day, I had an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic, a Minolta XG-1, and a Canon T-50, with extra lenses for both the Spotmatic and Minolta.

Since most of my photography leans toward nature, wildlife, and scenic shots, I found that digital is so much better in being able to get more photos. When taking a two-week vacation, I tend to take 2000 to 4000 photos. No way I could do that with film.

Since I like to be prepared for the spontaneous opportunity of photographing wildlife, I never do manual photography.
