Somehow I don't think that suicide is an impulse purchase. Generally takes some planning, wouldn't you think?

So-called "rational" suicides are very planned out, but they aren't all this way. Some are more spontaneous, "I just gambled away all my money after I've been fired" affairs.

A very good friend of mine - a physician - said something to me when I was telling him about my grief when another very good friend of mine killed himself. The physician said, "Sometimes depression is a terminal disease."

It's really easy to mock what you don't understand. If you can't understand what would make a person even consider putting a gun to their own head... then just leave it alone. This would not be the time to show off your wit. Of course, if your wit consists of statements that begin "WTF? LOL," there really is NO good time for you to try to show off your wit.

Very nicely put. That's the most graceful of have a tall glass of shut the "f" up I have ever seen.

There is a lot of foots being put into mouths in this thread. A lot of judgmental, hateful, and disrespectful things being said.

I pray to God that im never in such a position where I think suicide is the only way out. Prayers for all in involved.

if this is right (that name can not be too familiar in Oklahoma) then i would assume that his parents are maybe in your post and he is the younger one....

This is a sad deal. I just turned 24 and can't imagine what at this point in my life would be so terrible that I'd wanna kill myself.

I went to OU with Nijim and we both worked on the OU Daily's staff for a couple years.

He'll be missed.
