I've got a form1 .22 can that's awesome...big but good. 12"x2. Lightweight aluminum and filled with those little brass rivets. Works lots Better than my AAC can but it is 3 times the size

Yea my YHM works good on pistols but I am thinking of a 1.5"-2" x 10-12" can for my rifles specifically the 5.5" SBR 10/22 I'm going to conger up soon as the papers come back approved on it.

1. Just having one is not as much fun
2. Building one is fun
3. My sparrow isn't as quiet either. Size does matter. (But the sparrow is my best purchased .22 can)

Not sure why you wouldn't just buy a Silencerco Sparrow and be done with it.

Mainly cause I am a tinkerer and enjoy building things. And it saves me just paying the tax stamp and a few materials.

Have a idea of a integral 10/22 now.... Hmmmm

That is one nice SBR 10/22 in that pic. I would like to build one on a form one. I have decided to go with the butler creek side folder as the stock. I need to read up on velocities from 6", 8", 10" .22 barrels. I have been thinking about the 8" but have to do some measuring to figure out what to out to put on the form for overall length when submitting the paperwork. I also need to read up on the different twist for whatever barrel I would want to go with. Standard 10/22 barrels are 1 in 16" twist (I think) but some are made 1 in 9" for stablizing stuff like the Agulla super sniper 60 grain ammunition. I don't know how 1 in 9" twist stabalizes standard bulk pack 36 or 40 grainers.

I have been thinking about the short bull barrel concept per that pic 88gmchog posted, but also maybe having a standard barrel cut down, front sight machined and re posted per jpgrips.com I like the idea of fixed sights for simplicity, though that mini dot looks dang efficient and fast. I also think about what would be best a standard Ruger receiver or spending more for a virgin receiver with machined rail on top. Tax stamps, its only money and time. Decisions decisions.

I expect to most likely go with a standard 10/22 receiver, probably 8" for velocity, 1 in 16" twist to shoot bulk and CCI mini mags, threaded of course for my only can a SWR Spectre. THEN I'll work on getting the Spectre II ordered.

Just thinking out loud here guys.
