I am about to get my 1st black rifle.
I see posts selling and trading PMags and some have or want windowed mags and some don't.
Why would I choose one over the other?
It seems useful to see how full they are.
Are windowed mags any less durable or do they have any more feeding problems?

If you're taking a carbine class it's nice to have the windowed PMAGS to see which need topping off and which don't with a quick glance. Otherwise the non-windowed variety are fine.
