For those of you old enough to remember cry in your beer country, a legend is gone.

We saw him a few years back with Wille and Merle in "The Last of the Breed" tour. He seemed a little fragile, but I was amazed by how clear his voice was. Ray Price was a REAL talent. Back before Nashville sold its soul for sexy looks and auto tune. Back when talent and ability meant something.

Yeah, I grew up on Ray Price. He was my dad's favorite.

At least he got to see him in concert in Muskogee a few years ago.

Rest in peace.

I wonder who the third of the trifecta will be.

Peter O'toole died last night/this morning.

He was one of my father's favorites too. We saw him at the original Gilley's back in the late 70s or early 80s. My dad used to do a lot of electrical work for Mickey Gilley and was always getting to see shows.

Hell, I'm 45 and I wore out the cassette in my Jeep CJ-7, playing Ray Price: A Tribute to Willie and Kris.

I'm sure to some of you youngsters this sounds the same as my Grampa telling me about seeing Bob Wills and driving a 37 Ford.
