I think all Oklahoma schools should require students to wear uniforms. it's a whole lot cheaper for the parents and the kids won't become fixated on fashion cliques so they can spend more time learning.

You should just go ahead and delete your account because you are a socialist. Uniforms? really? It's for the children, right?

good lord, some of you guys sound like grumpy old men. I don't like the ideas of uniforms for schools, because I fought it as a teen, and we won. I am not going to be a hypocrite. When I was in junior high, the school did not have AC, but we were not allowed to wear shorts, it made life miserable.

It doesn't matter what a girl wears, when you are that age, a bumpy bus ride can be enough.

For the record, I have a daughter. As parents, we control what she owns and wears. Do your job and hope she has enough brains to figure out what she should and should not wear. I think too many of you guys have forgotten what being a teenager is like.

My dad's class had a walkout in '74 over hair length for boys. His senior year book says "not pictured" because he refused to cut his hair.

They took all the boys into the gym and the principal said "this is the worst class to ever come through this school". They stood and cheered. And it was.

Kids these days...

No kidding. Those old guys in the 50s and 60s said rock n roll, integration, long hair, was all gonna ruin society. Kinda funny looking back - we can see how dumb they were.
