If anybody thinks comments from the Communist News Network, Clinton News Network, is actually true or relevant to anything please post your reasons why!

Without cnn, MSNBC and fox, we'd all just sit around and say "Yep". They give us something to talk about, even if it is biased and not exactly true. Yep?

One question? Do you locals consider Oklahoma the midwest or the south? Cause Ive always considered it the south. Kansas I would think would be, in my mind, the southern most Mid West state.

As far as his comments go, you have to consider the source. Its coming from a guy who probably lives in a big city, and spends most his time in some of the USs' biggest most populated cities. That being said, as far as big cities go, I wouldn't really consider Tulsa a big attraction. When I lived in CA, I never dreamed about one day visiting the big city of Tulsa, or OKC for that matter. There are lots of other cities in the South that are more fun, more entertaining, etc. I don't think there is anything wrong with it personally, but Im sure to someone who lives in Nashville, Charlotte, Atlanta, Kansas City or New Orleans sees it as a bit podunk, and probably feels the same about OKC.

Just my perspective on the matter

South of I-40, breakfast comes with grits. Certainly South. Tulsa area- South/Southwest.
If you look at accents we are solidly South, at least most of the state is.
Culinary tastes are definitely South, with some things unique to Texas/OK/New Mexico.
We say "fixin' to"....I alaways thought everyone said that.
My town - Sapulpa is named for a Confederate war hero.
Squirrels is groceries, and catfish/bass fishermen abound.
Peaches are here, as is lots of cotton.
Up until the 1980s we still flew the Confederate flag at the state capitol. (along with all other flags that Oklahoma had been under)
The last Confederate General to surrender was Stand Watie, he's buried here. (he was part of Removal Treaty, and lived here from that period until his death)
His army was made up of men from NE Oklahoma and NW Arkansas.
One thing I find interesting about Oklahoma - we have such diverse geography - we are one of two states that are home to both alligators and antelope. The other state being Baja Oklahoma, or Texas.

And Tulsa doesn't suck yet. It ain't the great place it was up until the 80s, and it's still experiencing a bit of an exodus, but it ain't Detroit. Yet.

Being someone that has lived all through the central part of the US, I've found that pretty much everyone outside the state considers Oklahoma a "midwest" state and I agree with that.
