Hey All,
I have been listening to ..on the internet...a country radio station that plays an awesome mix of country music. Here at work and at home in my den..KAFF AM.. Flagstaff, Arizona.
Hank, Buck, Merle, Johnny Paycheck, Tammy, Loretta and others...
But...
Then they throw a mix of Todd Snider, Hank III, (the late)..Levon Helm, Wayne Hancock, Reverend Horton Heat, Robert Earl Keene, Bobby Bear (yeah he's an oldie)and a ton of others. No.. it's not that new stuff they call country...but great talent that for some reason doesn't make Oklahoma Country Music????
I've been tempted to write or call the general manager at 96.1Kxxy and beg him to listen to KAFF AM..for a week amd get some fresh ideas on country music.
So, who's some of your..not necessarily favorite..but good musicians who don't or won't get played on Oklahoma airwaves....Country Music..not the other stuff...unless it's smooth jazz.
