Ok guys I get asked weekly if cerakote really holds up or not, so it's time for some unbiased proof to trump the talk. Post pics of your cerakoted guns and if you can how long ago and how many rounds ago it was finished. Lets see it!

Do you do Cerakote professionally or as a hobby or something? Just an interesting first post.

And I'm looking for someone local to do some work, BTW.

I was just thinking about this on a stainless steel gun. Cerakote would be sweet to get rid of any glare from it being shiny, but wondered how the finish would hold on stainless.

I'm going to go and take the two day certification class at NIC Industries for Cerakoting soon. I believe it's one of the most versatile applications for most any weapon or accessory.. Duracoat is also a really good product..

When you get done with the class, I'll let you cerakote one of my glocks and I'll run it through the ringer and post before and after pics. Sound fair?

Bead blasting works really well, too.

Agreed. I have Cerakoted several rifles/handguns, but haven't put enough rounds through them to see how well it will hold up. With that said, I much prefer the look of SS after a few minutes of blasting with glass beads. A nice satin SS finish is very pleasing to look at.

x2, not sure if I would coat a stainless gun.. but media blasting gives it that tumbled look that is just sweet...
