Yes it is wrong to make ppl to go against their religious beliefs. It is more wrong for them to discriminate against the public. One outweighs the other in the big scheme of things. So too bad so sad. The world is bad enough without endorsing hate. Marry the gays or close the doors to the public.

What's wrong with freedom of association? The government should have no say in who a person does or does not associate with, including who they do business with.

If the owners want to forgo the revenue of a gay "marriage" then power to them.

It's just another instance of minority members of society wanting to forcing their personal agenda on the majority - nothing more and nothing less. If it were just a matter of two people wanting to be married they could simply go to a justice of the peace or whatever the equivalent is in that state.

But that's not what they want - no, they'd much rather desecrate the religious beliefs of others, and the law that supports that act is nothing more than blatant religious persecution. Of course, that's okay if the religion being persecuted is Christianity - we certainly wouldn't tolerate it if it was Islam. Hey, maybe they should just go to the nearest mosque and demand to be married instead.

What ever happened to the principle of "your rights end where the next fellow's nose begins"? All the crap about this right or the other trumping that other right or the other are crap, and it's leading us farther and farther down the road of no one having any rights at all because every one of them violates one of someone else's. Effing idiots.

Bingo!!!!

I can remember "We are talking about civil unions, gay marriage is a strawman augment"

"No one will be forced to take part in a gay marriage if it is against their beliefs, that is a strawman argument."

"No minister will be forced to perform a gay marriage, that is a strawman argument."

Seems to me a whole lot of strawmen turned out to be true.

The sad thing, I can remember all these and others from years and decades ago, but some nights I can not remember what I had for dinner. :(

Minor side note: none of the BC on the list in the original HL case causes any fetus to die, it prevents conception. Further, many were provided by HL's insurance before Obamacare.

The difference is, before Obamacare the BC was at the expense of the employee. The .gov then came along and told the Green family they had to cover 100% the cost of the morning after pill and the IUD which prevent the fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus therefore causing it to die. But I guess one would have to believe life begins at fertilization and not 20 weeks afterwards.

The whole gay marriage deal was a lock as soon as the govt. Started selling licenses. When that happened, it stopped being a sacrament of the Church.

Add to that list:

Polygamy will never be legalized

Marriage to children will never be legalized

And more as we have opened the floodgates of the right to pleasure above all else. Not only must it be allowed - it must be legitimized into the mainstream for all to approve - by force if necessary. The obligation to restrain ourselves for the sake of other's well being and the good of society is quickly being forgotten.

I predict that fifty percent of all gay marriages will end in divorce. Maybe more. Gay relationships can be quite violent. Something that is kept on the down low by the media.
