Why I am against gay marriage.

I work with women everyday. I don't believe women should be mistreated, or prevented from fulfilling whatever dreams they may have.
There is no sidestepping the fact that women often let hormones get in the way of good judgement. (kind of like a 16 year old boy)

Then you have the attitude - "I am woman!"
A friend of mine is terrified he'll get on a plane with a female pilot. His thought is, she'll have a fight with her husband, storm off to work needing to feel validated, hop into to the cabin, and say I"LL SHOW YOU I CAN FLY THIS PLANE!
I can see that happening.

I worked for a gay attorney for a few years. His clients were educated, professional gay men ... He worked behind the scenes with a couple of gay rights movement organizations that are prominent in Oklahoma. You know why he didn't work "upfront"?? Because he didn't want to be associated with the whining, fussy, egotistical drama queens that were the "face" of those organizations. After dealing with his clients, and the folks that were the "important" guys in those organizations, I can't say as I blamed him one little bit.

BTW, it's not unusual for men who are uncomfortable with their own identities to judge women in the stereotypical, derogatory manner you and your friend exhibit.

Polygamy? Child marriage? Incestual marriage?

When my day and future ex S-I-L were getting married, they were refused by 4 pastors before finally getting approval.
What? 4? Why didn't they sue the first and force him. No, they went somewhere else and found somebody that would do the service.

It is for publicity, forcing their beliefs, minimalizing Christian beliefs, and imposing goobermint I to the situation.
BTW, why can't they go to JP? Because that wouldn't be a public spectacle or have religious implications.
