A falling block is what I was thinking ,still single shot , lever action opens it...Again ...Thanks
30-06 chamber has a lot less material removed from the receiver when compared to the 45-70.
Yep, falling blocks are like the 1874's and the Ruger No.1 and 3.........High Walls and Low Walls.

Got done putting together my 45-70 TC Cotender 16 inch barrel, muzzle brake, synthetic stock, and leather ammo holder.
I call it "PIG SLAYER 3000"
