Which one will keep shooting while the other one chokes?
Fresh out of the box.
Commercial ammo.
1911 gets to spend DOUBLE the money on the pistol, yes I said DOUBLE!!!
Name your gun, name your retail price and expected round count before choke!

Share your experiences with either one as well.

My choice: Glock 17 Gen3, Retail $540
Round count to stoppage: 30,000
Cause: wore-out recoil spring causes recoil block pin break and slide will lock back for no reason.

I will put that against any $1000 1911.

Hell, you could allow TRIPLE the price and the G still wins.

Anyone that chooses otherwise is kidding themselves.

But nothing is sexier than a 1911!

....now where are the revolver guys...

I hate to say the Glock will win, as much as I like the 1911 pattern the Glock was made to shoot, and continue doing so under the worst conditions.

i had a few FTF with my gen 4 glock 19 (within the first 500 rounds) so not every single glock with eat every single bullet every single time like people seem to think. ALSO...i think the 1911 has gotten a bad rep for being "choke" prone due to the volume of cheap clones. If every 1911 was made by colt, this thread wouldnt be nearly as one sided.

I have no experience with top tier 1911s but surely a $3,000+ wilson or nighthawk will run forever without an issue right? Just trying everything to keep from admitting that glock wins.
