I just bought a gas range off Craigslist and the oven/ broiler will not ignite. It's getting gas, but no lighty.

ohm out the ignitor and see if it is open. Do yourself a favor and turn off the gas before you stick your head in the oven too =)

Most of the newer (10yrs and newer) ovens dont use a standing pilot

Do any ovens use piezo, or are they all electronic?

Thank you for all the responses. It appears it was converted from NG to LP. I have to replace the orifices and flip this piece in the regulator. Now the difficult task of finding the NG orifices.

Most of the heat and air parts dealers have the orfices in my neck of the woods. Some of the folks that sell LP will carry a small selection.
