By allowing the barrel to rest for approx 2 weeks in a heavy salt water bath, there is a very high likelihood that the color will resemble a rusty fallen leaf color. Obviously yours would be longer.....
Where did that come from?By allowing the barrel to rest for approx 2 weeks in a heavy salt water bath, there is a very high likelihood that the color will resemble a rusty fallen leaf color. Obviously yours would be longer.....
google-foo, typed in worse rusted gun and it popped up.Where did that come from?
Never used it on anything but hunting rifles. The one or two shots that are made are not enough to heat it up, so never had an issue with sticky.Never thought of that! Does the bandage tape not want to adhere to the barrel as a result of heat from firing, or have you used it in that manner?
Key word: "salt water."Where did that come from?
Great nephews found an Iver Johnson in the river down by Norman a couple of years ago. It wasn't that bad by a long shot.
They let LEO look at it to see if it was a crime gun, but it was given back. It will cycle now after lots of cleaning, but will never shoot.
