I have shot it and kinda dug it. Still new and ammo is expensive, performance I found was similar to 6.5 Grendel but holds GTL more like a creedmoor.

Based off of 6.8 SPC II.

I've heard of a 6mm Valkyrie, that's what I want to see. Or a 6mm Grendel. There is a 6mmAR based off the 6.5G I think, but it's still a wildcat. Something standardized, not proprietary, and SAAMI listed would be nice.

Something like that should be able to push a 100gr bullet like what "failed" due to excessive velocity for @dennishoddy in his WSSM to just about the right velocity to perform correctly.

Plus, for no particular reason, I have a thing for 6mm.

One more thought, calibers like this put new life into bolt guns using the 5.56x45 NATO action length, such as the Mossberg MVP, Ruger American (they already have Mini-30 mag gun), CZ 527 and such. Being able to get true medium game performance and 1000yd capability from such a short lightweight action is a pretty big deal in my mind. I've never been interested in big game hunting and/or magnum rifle calibers, so true "intermediate" cartridges like these excite me.

A Truly versatile round with the right bullets for the task at hand. I was scared of it for a long time because of the negative response I got from friends that used it on deer. They said it was too fast and would not bring down a deer reliably.
That was early in my hunting days, and I know a whole lot more now than then, especially by reloading and seeing the results of all the deer I've killed. Nothing, Nothing, speaks more for a rifle/caliber/bullet than what the internal organs of an animal that has just been shot can tell you.
The 6mm can kill you just as dead as a .338 Lapua when hit in the right spot with the right bullet. (Ok, the Lapua doesn't have to be in exactly the right spot.......)

Closer to a 6.5 Grendel necked down. I read about it somewhere a few months ago and cant remember what case its based off of.
If I am understanding you correctly, it was the 6.5 Grendel, which is based on the 7.62 X 39. Would this make the 224 Valkyrie a .224 X 39?
