if you go that way you will experience the exact same problem,,,
Small and light always equals out to snappy recoil.

Do you know anyone who owns a K-frame S&W revolver,,,
The grips aren't too big and the recoil is minimal.

Just sayin'

Thanks. All suggestions and comments are appreciated. Going to have her shoot a few this weekend.

Ruger LCR in .327 Mag. She can practice with .32 short (almost no recoil), .32 long, .32 H&R, and .327 mag. Hornady makes a Critical Defense round in H&R and .327 Mag. Just like a .357 can use .38's for practice. Shoot mostly .38 longs for practice and end each session with a cylinder of your chosen self defense load so she can get used to the recoil and be ready for it if it becomes necessary.
Great Marine minds think alike! ;)

LOVE S&W "Hammerless"....that dang hammer won't or can't get hung up in a pants pocket or with anything in a purse.

My wife and I have Hammerless Airweight in 38sp....she shoots it once a year to retain/remember the "kick" and some practice. Wish I'd bought her one in 22Mag. I love my hammerless 38...slips right into my jeans pocket and no-one knows...again....no hang ups when pulled out and I don't need a holster.

Had a conversation with the wife, last night, about maybe going out to shoot tomorrow. She has no idea about me sneaking out a few times.....Ha.
She was kinda of okay (roll eyes and all) and I asked her to go and be a chance for her to shoot some. She hasn't gone in a long time.
Then she tells me that she hates the bursa thunder (she picked out) 380. This is the 380 that I bought to replace the sig 238 that was bought to replace the lcp9. She shot them all lights out. She hates the slide and semi autos. She has problems with her hands and she struggles with racking them. All of them. I didn't know it hurt her so much. She does have recoil issues too and the thunder was a bit snappy.
So I need some help without trolling.
Revolver is the way I going. Need small and light. If I can get it in custom colors or have it customized to pink....etc, I'm good with that. If it's pretty, she will me more inclined to carry it with her. Didn't know she wasn't carrying the bursa (I'm not happy). Want grip laser.
No macho stuff. If it's a 22, I'd rather have that than zero.
HELP?
i like the idea of the ruger lcr in 22 mag the lcp is a good little pistol but i consider these small automatics to be a professionals gun

Well there's this now...

I'm not sure what to think about it. I don't like the grip safety but it's supposed to be easy to rack the slide and load the magazines.

I also say go with the LCR .22MAG. Good compromise, and she might actually carry it.

I've decided on the LCR 22 mag. Going to go shoot one tomorrow or Sunday
I have LCRs in both .22Mag and .38Spl. While the trigger in the .38Spl variant is very nice for a DAO revolver, the trigger in the .22Mag is significantly heavier. To paraphrase something I read here a while back on OSA, the LCR magic is gone on the rimfires. It's not a bad snubbie handgun, but I can usually find something else I'd rather shoot. Been considering applying the "sell it if you haven't used it in the last year" rule but I've had too many other projects vying for my attention.

If you can't find one to try out you're welcome to give me a holler the next time you know that you're going to be in OKC. To my knowledge I haven't been blacklisted from any of the ranges around here. Only thing I ask is that you minimize the gloating when it turns out that even with a busted wing you're still a better shot than me.
